To promote music appreciation, cultural enrichment, and entertainment through free public concerts in the community.

Performances occur throughout the Fall and Spring Semester, with concerts generally occurring in November, March, and May. You can find a full list of upcoming concerts here.

Band Members

The group’s diverse collection of woodwind, brass, and percussion players cover numerous professions and training backgrounds, with ages ranging from twenty-somethings to octogenarians. The organic nature of the membership, exciting repertoire and strong direction have kept WCW flourishing through the seasons.

Years performing in the community

West County Winds has been performing throughout the East Bay since 1985. Starting at El Cerrito High under the direction of former Band Director, Terry Clark, the band has transformed over the years to today, where the group is led by Geoffrey Gallegos.
